New Matobo National Park riding project in the making!
Horse Riding Matobo National Park
As James Varden Safaris and Tours, we are proud to anounce that we are broadening our riding horizons and exploring new areas and potential for safaris in Zimbabwe. We have completed a couple of exploratory rides in the World Heritage Cultural Area of Matobo National Park. This is a stunning area of incredible rock formations and ancient human history dating back many thousands of years and most recently incorporating the amaNdebele people’s history in Zimbabwe and that of Cecil John Rhodes as well.
Our Plan and What Horse Riding Matobo National Park entails…
Matobo National Park is an exciting place to explore on horse back and it is our intention to create multi-night riding safaris for experienced riders to enjoy this wonderful wilderness. We will be able to view natural ancient rock art galleries with art older than in any European gallery, rocks that are incredibly old, the enourmous and majestic Square-lipped Rhino, the graceful and powerful Verreaux’s Eagle, and a diversity of wildlife, birdlife and plantlife.
So riding in Matobo National Park for multi-night adventures is going to be an excellent addition to the riding safaris of Africa.
